3 Counties Radio 1996 at the Queen's Head

In 1996 John Pilgrim and Eddie Almond interviewed some villagers in and around the Queen's Head for 3 Counties radio.

Introduction - I have split the programme up into sections but these WAV files are still very large and will take a while to download

Colin Edwynn - Still our esteemed landlord. Actor and bit part player in a multitude of radio and TV shows and adverts. One fairly recent add was or Kit Kat.

Dot Brinklow and Michael Kingham - Outside the Post Office  Dot was chair for many years and was then vice Chair. Michael was  then the footpath committee leader.

Cecil Brinklow - [No relation to Dot]  First World war veteran. Was 96 at the time.

Lyn "Mrs Green" - Who ran the P.O. for 18 years

Ken Green - Then chair of the Parish Council

Kate Robins - Star of etc... Perhaps best known for her voices in Spitting images

Steve Oliver - Who ran the youth club at the time with his wife Eve

June Horne - Phone in - June lives in Wingfield the smaller of the two villages in Chalgrave

Nick (The Stick) Murry - Did not live in the village but was a regular. Now moved away

Liz Edwynn - Another star actor. Played lead roles in the west end and Rep. Sadly died a few years ago

Ernie Stringer - Lived into his 90's and was a regular in the Queens Head. Acted as "my old man's a dustman" with his daughter Wendy in one of the village concerts
